Diane I haven't got the Parish records or census for Pilsley, some of my relatives come from there, my grandmother Mary Louisa Brooks was born there in 1873. I have a lot of relatives from the Notts/Berbyshire area and of got some Parish records for Notts.I have the names Burrows,Ellis. Swinscoe, Walters to name but a few in Notts |

It has become the practice for parish records to be stored in local libraries. If not the Diocese must have them. Check them first and they will tell you exactly where they are. John |

Dianne, The Parish Records for Glossop Derbyshire are in Matlock now, so may be yours are there too. If you know the name of the church you could ring the vicar, priest and ask him. I did. Best of luck. Margaret |
