Who lived at ......... in 1871 ? How do I find out

How do I find out who lived at a specific address in 1870. There must be some way that I can input an address which will then reveal the occupants at that time.

Hiya, You will need to buy the disc (if available) of the 1871 Census. Not sure if it is available to look at at records office, but sure somebody here will enlighten you!!! Sarah

Try the local library for a microfiche copy of 1871 census. I have done the same trick when tracing the history of my house but come unstuck prior to 1851 (no census held locally prior to that).
