These companies advertise titles that they will be releasing in the future. Usually you get a discount for an early order but you don't know how long you will have to wait. |

Are all counties on CDs now? Is it possible to get a full census for each of the years, I am specifically thinking of Co Durham... had a look in the S&N catalogue but it appears that Co Durham is not well covered by them - they say they only have 1891 coverage and then further down the page are advertising CDs for 1841-1891 for the whole country. Confused! |

Hi Well, you can get access to the 1891 from Ancestry Co Uk by paying, but not for Scotland I don't think. Are you only talking about Scotland? The 1851 census for Gloucester is available free on line. Most others you have to either buy census cd from various sources, a Google Search will show up places that sell them. Or you cross your fingers that some nice person shares their info with you ! xx Ann xx |

I am quite new to this hence the daft question, I have managed to gain access to the 1881 and 1901 census of Scotland but how do I get to the previous ones, I see messages about 1861 etc and I have no idea how to find them, I am sure someone can help me. Thanks Lesley |
