Trying to get farther back in my line and cannot seem to come up with anything on anyone in the family passed 1760 or so? Is there anyway or anyone who know anything about the Caithness area in Scotland, particularily Canisbay. Hitting a road block! Thanks Jackie Miller Canada |

Not sure if I can answer your question but you might want to look at these sites. Recommend search of:-Scottish Achive Network www. scan. org. uk (without the spaces) next Orkney Islands Genealogy:- www. cusiter. com Caithness Family History Society:- www. caithnessfhs. org. uk or Caithness Genealogy:- www.genealogylinks. org Not sure if they precede the period your looking for but they have some very good boards which contact directly with the locals. Good luck Geoff |
