There was a long thread on this board regarding Irish research. It might be worth going back a few pages to see if you can find.

A tricky one this as a lot of Irish records were destroyed. Perhaps if you post it with an Irish theme someone could help. I know there are quite a few on the site who research Ireland and they may see it and give you some advise. Sorry can't help further John

Have got 3 relations born in Ireland with no idea where from. Where do I look now? Patrick McQUADE born Ireland c 1842 married Co Durham 1872 (Elizabeth McDermott) His father's name Patrick McQUADE - Ireland according to Marriage Certificate. Daniel BARR born Ireland c 1833-38 AGE 43 on 1881 census AGE 58 on 1891 census married Margaret * in Ireland c 1855-61 Hugh KIRK born Ireland c 1845-48 married Catherine McKenzie in Sunderland 1866 I've tried various irish sites but cannot find trace or which counties to look at parish records.
