marriage certificate query

Hi Shiela, You can't always guarantee that the information is correct on certificates as it was dependant on who the informant was. Good luck. Regards Margaret

Thanks a lot Stan, I just wanted to know if i wanted to match the details from a birth certificate on a marriage certificate then the fathers details would be the same, was just wooried if the father had passed on would there be any other way of confirming the bride is who i was hoping it would be

The name should appear. Sometimes the occupation might be given, but more likely it would say (deceased). Stan

this made sound a bit of a stupid question, but a marriage cert. will normally give the bride and grooms details and also the details of the bride and grooms fathers, what happen if the father has passed away will his name still appear on th register, hope you lot can help a newie like me thanks a lot sheila
