Thanks Emma and Margaret. All my research for my tree has been Shrewsbury so I have been extremely lucky!!! It was only when I tried to help others with look ups that I realised there was something missing, apart from my brain, that is! Gerry

Gerry, The 1871 census on ancestry is being added in counties - so far there is only (for England) Shropshire and Middlesex with a note to say that London and Worcestershire will follow shortly - so to say "full of holes" is quite an understatement the majority of it isn't there yet! Emma.

I get the impression the Ancestry's 1871 Uk census is full of holes, so to speak. Is this right, and does anyone know what it actually includes please. Cant' find the info on their site, but prob cannot see it for looking! Gerry
