If you can get to the cathedral covering Pembroke, they probably have a Records section with copies of the original church registers.

I have found marriages to be the least available. Have only found 2 out of about 12 I have looked for! Gerry

The IGI on the LDS web-site has post 1837 Baptisms and Marriages. If you cant find them on this then try the Vital Records Index 2nd Edition this is also by the LDS and the majority of records indexed are not on the IGI. try to find your nearest LDS church via the LDS site and you can see and search the VRI there on CD-ROM. I have found that the VRI has helped me out.

One of the family I'm researching doesn't seem to come up in the briths/marriages records online (freebmd, ancestry, LDS, 1837). I've paid to look at the original indexes to save a trip to the record centre and I can't seem to find them there either - even though I'm looking over several years. Is this common? I guessed that just after registration started in 1837 the records might be sparse but later on as well? If anyone can help me I would be grateful..... I'm looking specifically for the marriage of George Skyrme (b 12/12/1819) and eliza (maiden name unknown). First child born Aug 1840 so I'm looking around those dates. First child's christening St Mary's Pembroke so looking around Manorbier, Pemborke, St mary. In the census they lived in Morton, Pembroke. I read that in Pembrokeshire 50% may not have been on Parish records as there were a lot of non-conformist places. However this family seemed to have had a couple of christenings (Anglican). I'm therefore hoping the parish records can help me find the registered marriage. I've found some online parish records but only up to 1837. Does anyone know where I can do a lookup on parish records post 1837? I'm finding it hard to make sense of the FHS websites in that area. Finally, if no luck with parish records what else can I do?
