how do i get hold of obits for tennessee usa? have just found dead father and am trying to find other relatives.

Hi Sharon, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I hope that you are OK? I would try getting hold of the main library in Tennessee and ask if they have a search facility where they would search for it for you. You might have to pay for it. Hi Margaret, Thanks heaps for your reply. I'll be trying that right now. I hadn't seen my father in about 25 years since I was 5 or 6 so it's kind of strange to know that i'll never see him again. Thanks again for your help Sharon x

The Social Security Death Index may be of some help: http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb(.)com/ Deaths are usually posted a few months after death and will give you location of last know residence....which would then five you an area to search local papers. Judy
