Thanks for that. I've been searching for relatives in Canada for a while & don't seem to be getting anywhere.

Sandra Thanks for that... I hope this is an international board even if most members are in the UK Bob

I have enrolled and have been doing some transcribing of indexes on our 1901 Census. The web address is http://automatedgenealogy(.)com/index(.)html This is a pay site but they have assured us and the National Archives that the transcriptions done by volunteers will always be free to everyone to use. What is unique about this site is that the information from the page you are indexing is loaded right on the screen right above where you have to type in the information. There are no microfiches/films or extra CD's to get in order to do it. There has been very little done on Canadian Genealogy on a concentrated basis and it can be hard for people from other countries to find out information. This will help I am sure. The unsubscribed census is online but it means scrolling through pages and pages to find what you need. Sorry to take up space on this UK board, but I know some Canadians besides me belong and that other people are researching Canadian relatives. If nothing else, check out the site. What has been transcribed is already searchable. Sandra Sandra
