If you cant get to the records office find the nearest family history centre of the Church of the laterday saints. You will find this on their site and you can search their library catalog on site. This will tellyou what they have for the area you are searching, you can then order the ones you want for a small fee. The web site is in the links on this site Mary

Firstly I must thank the person who put the details for, scottishpeople.gov.uk, on a previous link. I couldn't belive my luck, I have been trying in vain to trace my great great Aunts and Uncles and found a fair few through this web site, but why does each Webb site cost so much to use? £5.00 doesnt sound like much but when it can all be used up in about 20 mins it doesnt seem worth it. Does anyone have any tips hints or web sites that dont cost a lot over a short period in time? (Most of my scotish relatives i have discovered moved to England approx 1900 so am really looking for website for England) Thanks
