Don't know what planet I was on when I answered earlier! Free BMD is for births, marriage and deaths, not for 1901 census. Sorry if I caused you any confusion.

Karen Every image you view is 75p so be sure to pay an amount in multiples of 75p otherwise you will lose money eg. £6 instead of £5. Lynne Sale

If you pay by credit card then you are strictly limited to 48 hours. If you buy a voucher you can log on and off and use it over a longer period. Vouchers are on sale in libraries.

why dont you have a look at Free BMD first incase they are on there? Address is in the resource section, left of screen

thanks pauline for your quick reply, i think i will wait till i have a little more info then so i can search for a few things over the 48 hours, is that what other people do?

hi everyone, i only joined this site yesterday and find it all very fascinating, i also looked at the 1901 census and it says you get a 48hour session for minimum charge of £5, now is that 48 hours from when you subscribe or 48 hours using the odd hour here and there, or am i just being thick and got it all wrong LOL (wouldnt be the first time) Take care all Kaz
