On 3 censuses my 2 x great Grandmothers place of birth is transcribed differently - Lowester, Lonstiff and Lowestoft. Are these 3 different places or all the same? Jeanette |

Hi Jeanette, All the same place - bad transcribing and the local accent lead to some interesting variations. What was her name? Half of my ancestors are from Lowestoft. Gwynne |

Hi Gwynne Unfortunatley I don't know Susan's surname. She married my 2x great Grandfather - who was either born in Ridge, Herts or Greenwich, Kent depending on which census you look at! - around the 1860's/70's I would guess. Their 1st child was born in 1870. I haven't been able to find a marriage for them yet. Of course there is the possibility they didn't get married. Jeanette |
