Hi Judy, You may well have tried for me before, but here is the family~ Stephen Baker 1823 Bristol Glos UK Boiler maker Emma Baker 1824 Glos Eli Baker 1850 Bristol William Baker 1861 USA Rosa Emily c.1863 ? Unable to find them in 1881, but they were back in England by 1883. I have been resisting joining Ancestry but could really do with a passenger look-up. Marion

Marion: Could you post details on the man/family you are searching for. My Ancestry US census subscription was to have run out the 2/3/2004 when I cancelled renewal and I noticed that they still have me connected....so I can search for you when I get home a little later tonight to see if I can find more facts and information for you. I am still trying to track GGGrandfather on his journey with family to USA after 1857. His trade was a steam boiler maker, or 'Journeyman' as was on his death certificate. Would anyone have knowledge of likely places in the States where these skills may have been needed at this time? Marion
