Thanks all of you. I can't access Free BMD due to firewall and a friend of mine looked it up and there was nothing apart from a John Frederick Hearn. Looks like a trip to the library and hope I find something there. Mary Brooke

hi u could try FreeBMD - they have records up to c1907-8 at the moment if u think the marriage took place before then or u could try 1837online but that is pay to use - u will find those sites if u type it into google or look on the `useful website` section of the tips board teresa

Hi, The marriage, if it took place in England or Wales, will almost certainly be on the GRO index of births marriages and deaths. The index is available in LDS centres, record offices and larger libraries. It is also available on line on a pay to view site. With the reference number you can buy the certificate. The resource centre button will lead you to the link. Hope this helps, Gwynne

If you live in England or Wales, you could try just working through the St Catherines Index at your local library. That's assuming he married in England and Wales... and not Scotland, Ireland or elsewhere.

I have tried to find the marriage of John Thomas Hearn, b.1881 in Bedfordshire with no luck. On the 1901 census he is still single. Where do I look for information after 1901 where I might find the marriage. I've tried ancestry, IGI, other people have tried to. This is driving me nuts !! Mary Brooke
