I had been searching for a family on 1901 but there was no sign of them and after several attempts I clicked on places search and put in their address and there they were! So I went back and did a person search for them but still no sign of them. Does anyone know why this might be?

I don't know the answer unless it's because separate indexes were made, without regard to the other and the family were left off the 'People Search' one. I had a family where the wife was missing from the index but was very clearly present when I viewed the printout of actual census 1901. I got this from a helpful librarian in my area of interest as I was able to give enough detail for her to locate them.

I only found them when I got a birth certificate that stated the address of the mother at the time, I viewed the sensus for that address and there they were along with 3 other children I knew nothing about! Oh well got there in the end!! :-)
