hi julie, Do you wish to apply for your own adoption records in which case, you can apply to the general registers office, southport., tel no 0151 471 4755 mon-fre 9-5. You can order a copy of your origianl birth certificate, and as they have records of all adoption in england and wales, you can apply for an acess to birth records form, when this is completed they should be able to let you know which court your adoption took place in and which adoption agency hadled the case, and if there are records there you should be able to acess them, however, you may need to see a social worker then, give them a call they are very helpful. You ca also get a lot of info regarding this by going onto www.online(.)com go into oder a certificate and scroll down to adoptions and there is a lot of info there. dont forget to remove brackets. If i cn help any further just let me know. best of luck Sheila. p.s. they also have a contact register there
