I know this problem's been addressed before but on a quick search I can't find it. For the first time I'm beginning to receive porn mail not masses, just one or two at a time which i delete without opening. The only sites that I've registered on recently have been genealogical sites: ancestry, tribalpages and 1837 and Norton and Adaware. I've set up a new account to which I'm directing all mail from the internet. Of course, I should have done it a long time ago but hindsight is 20/20 vision........ Has anyone had the same problem and is there anything I can do about it?

i used to be inundated with porn mail and other spam, drove me nuts. i downloaded spam inspector, and fingers crossed, it has solved 99% of it. you can get a trial at www(.)giantcompany(.)com Julie

I don't think it's anything you can pin on the geneological sites, it can be a shopping one or anything. I only get a little spam at home, but quite a lot at work where my e-mail address is on my firm's website. Once it gets out it just circulates on spammers lists. On the other hand, at home on the same computer but with a different e-mail address my son (28, not teens) gets sheaves. If he doesn't do something about it soon I suppose I will have to.
