If you right click on the page a menu will come up which has "Save page ..... (can't remember the exact words but it's about one third way down the menu). Save the page into a suitable directory (I've set up one each for births, marriages and deaths). It will then be be saved as a DjVu file which can be viewed with that application later.

On the page you are viewing at the top there is a save button (looks like a tv screen) just click on that and then pick where you want to save it on your computer. You could alway back up a copy just in case but I have been able to view all the ones I have saved. I might add up to now, fingers crossed. Irene

I tried saving pages to floppy disk. When I went back to them some pages (mostly the handwritten ones) were there but the vast majority were blank. Any suggestions where they may have gone.

You probably won't see the files if you try to use File | Open from inside a program, but you should see them if you start from My Computer or My Documents and navigate to wherever they've gone. The file names end in djvu. If you find them, just double-click on them. They open in Internet Explorer, or Netscape if you're using that (you don't need any other image viewer)

Thanks for replying sandra, I had tried to save into various folders etc.., but every time I went back into that folder there was nothing there. Just wondered if there was anything I was missing. Thanks for you help, I will try again following your instructions. PS I am in Port Perry. Amanda

Hi Amanda I have saved several pages from 1837 but it was some time ago. It is similar to saving any document. What I did was make up a new main folder in my documents folder called BMD IMAGES. Then within that new folder I made another new folder with the Surname/Births or Surname/Marriage or Surname/Deaths. Or you could make one with Surname and then add others with BMD on them. Then when I am in 1837 I click on save and it brings up location to save them in. I don't choose that location. I click on the browse button and open the My Documents folder, then the other folders I have set up. I name the file and press save. Hope this helps you. I work with Windows 98 at home and XP at work and even though XP has many screens to help you, you can bypass them. I am sure other people will have other suggestions but just in case no-one else responds this may be better than nothing. Good Luck! Sandra ( Burlington, Ontario, Canada)

Have used this several times, and have decided to save pages viewed. Only problem being I can't figure out how to save them. I'm running windows XP, and trying to save in to microsoft works, maybe I should try saving on to disc or cd, any suggestions or help please, this has got me in a pickle, and don't want to spend more money later viewing pages I have already seen. Thanks Amanda
