Lots of people have "disappeared" from the 1901 due to spelling mistakes in the index. Try as many ways as you can think of for spelling the surname and also try wildcards for the surname with the right Christian names and ages. I found my Marsland relatives indexed as Jillarsland!!!! Janice

i am really stuck. I got info on a family called Paling in the 1891 census, i belive the parents may be my great grandparents. They are listed at 89 darrell road, camberwell. Edward, Elizabeth (wife), daughters elizabeth, harriet, robina or rosina and alice. son walter. they ae all clearly listed, yet on the 1901 census i cannot finds trace of any of them. I know its possible the girls may have got married and changed theri names, but surely the parents and son should be listed. I have searched ancestry.co.uk and found record of all their births. but no deaths. xcant find any record of the girls getting married either. does anyone have any ideas where else i can look, surely they cant have all disapeared.
