How do i find parish records?

Hi Samantha, Try you nearest Latter Day Saints records office They can order the parish records that you need. Jan from gravesend, Kent.

Have you tried the IGI they are putting on Church records of christenings and marriages. Maybe some help but they do need checking if you find anything. Irene

Also try phillimores Parish records index and atlas. to buy it is £50! but most libray study centers have a copy. it ll tell which county the parish is in and what records survey and where they are are stored and where they can be viewed in original, microfilm or fiche.

I suggest you try the Record Office in ipswich.

Sorry if this question has been asked before... but... How do i find parish records? Do i need to go to a records office? Or is it possible to locate them over the net!? I want records of batism in Capel St Mary for 1797... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
