Max Well I,m really hoping St Saviours was in or around Wednesbury Staffs. It was found looking for a birth on the 1837 site under district. I assumed it was a church but district must mean a place surely! This relation is driving me potty (not difficult). She only appeared on a marriage her certificate gives her father as Rickword she was Rickwood changed to Rickword and the only entry I can find for her is Rickward on the 1837 site, so it's a problem. Rickward could be right as so many people could not read and write then and I think the authorities wrote down there names phonetically. What are your veiws on this. ANY help would be great. Pat

Thank you everyone for your replies. I think I have to face the fact that Jane Rickward of St Saviours is not part of my family. At least with your help I have managed to eliminate her. The tips page is wonderful for the advice and help you get from fellow researchers and can save hours of time being wasted. Thanks to you all. Pat
