did you want details of your birth mother, this would show on your original birth certificate, you can apply for this at the registers office southport, or go online www.1837online[.]com. dont forget to remove the brackets when you type this in,with regards to your sister do you know of her, or are you trying to trace her if your trying to find a trace of her birth you can also look on the above site. let us know if you need any other information, best wishes sheila |

If you were in the home, then I would try social services in the relevant area. They can't deny you access to your own records. |

Is there anyway you can find out who was in a children's home and when in the 1900's. I know I was in kentish Town Children's Home in the 1950's but want dates for me and my sister. If I do a search on google I just get recent stuff. Georgina |
