Hi Sylvia, Thanks for your reply. I had searched many times to try to pin-point exactly where a could find these records. I've now waded through a whole lot more and think now they might be in the Guildhall Library - I've sent an email - hope I'm lucky. Problem is I'm in N.Z. so hope they can post me something if they can find the entry. Christine |

Hi Christine, Try www(.)institutions(.)org(.)uk Don't forget to remove brackets. This has info on Asylums,Almshouses,Prisons,Dispensaries,Hospitals, Reformatories and Orphanages. Sue |

Where would I find Apprentice records for Apothecaries - pre 1800. I have an Assistant Surgeon born 1782 Lambeth England who served in the Military in Ceylon, married and died there. Thanks Christine |
