Death???

Hi there Margaret. There is one think for certain and that is there has to be a death certificate. If the lady was a married, then I think that her next of kin would have registered the death, so if you know approx.when she died, you can apply for the death certificate but state that you do not want it unless a certain persons name was on the certificate. That way you will not have to pay for it. In the same way, if the lady was widowed when she died, then her husbands name will be on the death certificate, so order it on the understanding that you do not want it if it is not. Mary

Hi Sonja, than you for that I am having a lot of trouble finding this death. I could buy lots of death certs. and it would cost the earth if I bought all of them so relly don't know what to do Margaret.

Hi Margaret; The death would be registered in the area that it occurred in. My Nan was born in Rawmarsh (WRY) and died in Sheffield Hospital. Never thought she would have died anywhere but where she lived for most of her life!! Lead me a merry old dance she did trying to find her point of demise! HTH Sonja

Hi If someone died in hospital out of the area they were living would the death be registered in that area or in the area they were living thank you Margaret
