yesterday my internet page and toolbar were silver and blue and said Packard bell along the top by the printer icon. Today all that has changed to beige and blue .Why and how? I didn't touch anything... is it something to do with the children/cat? Kim

Well a couple of monthes ago my 2 year old daughter managed to move my shortcut bar from the bottom of my page to the top, took over an hour and a lot of phone calls to friends to put it right! so I know who I would look at first...

My internet company has changed their "style" twice since I joined. Is there any possibility THEY could have changed it?

Hi Kim, A similar thing happened to me all the text went very large, couldn't figure out how, my son had leant on the keyboard but couldn't tell me what he had touched. In the end I restored the computer to the day before it happened. All ok. Have you got system restore. it's quite easy to do if you have just follow the instructions. That will take you back to a time before it went "wrong" if it is still the same you will know it wasn't you!!

Kim - If you right click on on an unused part of the desktop then go to 'Properties', you will find a tab 'Appearance'. From there you can change the colours to anything you like. Susanne - The Taskbar can be moved to any part of the screen by just dragging it. Derek.

thanks Derek , I have changed properties for apperance it gives me the choice of beige and blue, all silver or olive green but none of these options come up with the silver backgound and blue top line on the internet pages like it was before saying packard bell. I'm frightened to use system restore in case I loose info that I have collected since it went funny.... scaredy cat me :~(

Hi Kim, The beauty of system restore is it will restore your system but leave your files alone. So in theory it won't delet any of the info you've saved to your documents. But if you had installed a new program in the time period you are going to restore then it would remove that program so You'd have to reinstall it. Honestly it won't hurt your PC! :) It's a godsend I think. Sioux

Kim, System restore won't harm or lose your data or files, when you do it you will be asked what day/date you wan't to restore to. It will show a calendar, look for a date the is in bold numerics and click on that, it means it will be restored to the last known sysyem check that your computer has done, and you won't lose anything you've entered or done since that date. It really is brilliant, especially when your computer crashes or for the sort of anomaly you have. Good Luck Geoff x
