Hello! Can anyone tell me if, on a marriage cert., the district a person was born in will be listed...I know my gg grandad was born in Manchester, c.1855, but I cannot find his birth listed anywhere. I was hoping a district might narrow it down a bit. His name, as far as I am aware, is one of a kind - he was called 'Smith Kidd' but I am now beginning to wonder if his first name has inadvertantly been missed off his marriage and death entries...and 'Smith-Kidd' was actually a double barrelled surname...or possibly Smith was a nickname... Any help gratefully received, Amanda x
