Anyone know how to access birth and marriage records in Scotland. I have tried one site which looks more like an exchange of names. Marion

hi - try Scotlandspeople - excellent - but a pay site - it also has the 1891 and 1901 censuses and parish records for most areas dating back to 1524

You could try www.sct.bdm.com - I got some info from that. I've also been recommended to try ww.scotsorigins.com then there's always familysearch IGI for Scotland. Best of luck. If you find any others I'd be interested - I'm having ago at delving into the past of my 'better half' so he doesn't feel too left out ! Mary Brooke
