the answer is no you can't. What you need to do is creat a fictional person with the surname you wish to find. then palce you trying to find message. When this is done delete the fictional person Shelli

Can you put someone on the "Trying to find " board ,if they are not in your family tree? I have tried but without success. My problem is change of name by deed poll, ie. same person,but different name to the one I entered on my tree, if that makes sense!! Sue
