Hi Debbie, I got my FTM v 11 at the weekend. I really like it. I've found it quite easy to find my way round and I really like the reports it can do. I'd recommend it. Naomi

Hi Naomi, I didn't mention it in the previous message, but I also run Family Tree Maker. I prefer the on screen layout of Legacy, and many of the options it provides, but I find FTM much easier to use for reports and creating gedcom etc. So I kept FTM when I first tried Legacy, glad I did. I have been pondering whether to update FTM to v11, is that what you have ordered, be interested to know what you think. My FTM is very old and a bit outdated now, so would like to upgrade. Nearly ordered it the other from SN but changed my mind. Debbie

Thanks Deborah, I'll see what I can do. I am waiting for Family Tree Maker to be delivered it's just that I'm so impatient! Naomi

Hi Naomi, I use Legacy, and if I have understood you correctly, I don't think there is one. If you highlight any given person, and use the family report, it will show that person, any spouse, and any children, but not the siblings of the chosen person. The way to get this, I think, is to create a focus group. This is not something I am very good at, but it is covered in the help section. But basically you start by highlighting your chosen person, then chose 'reports' from the top toolbar. Choose individual or family from the options at the top, then right at the bottom on the left, click the tab that says record selection, click on focus groups. From there you can add either any members of your tree, either manually or by using the options within that section. Sorry if that isn't very clear, but check out Focus Groups in the help section for a better explanation. Debbie

I've been using Legacy 4.0 to do my tree. I started off with only immediate family and have now decided to follow up with siblings and so on. However the problem I have is Legacy is on my home computer so what I have been doing is saving a pedigree chart to PDF, emailing it to work so I can use the internet in my lunch hours to search. However the problem I have is what report to use to include siblings. A pedigree report doesn't include everyone and I did another but it didn't give enough information ie BMD dates and so on. Can anyone tell me what report I might need to do? Thanks Naomi
