i am bery new to this but i am now addicted, i have managed to trace my Grandfathers 9 siblings and i have his parents names, but i have no dates, i cant seem to find my grandfathes birth , death or marriage certificates to check i have the right Parents, Anyone who can help?

Sallyann! I think you need to invest in some credits for 1837online and have a dig about! Dykes is not too common a surname and there aren't endless pages you will have to search through (there are with some names). £5.00 invested in credits will give you enough to start exploring! Now you have their mothers maiden name (check your other message for explanation) you will be able to narrow your search down when looking through the Dykes births. Siblings, generally speaking are born every year or two, so you should not have too much trouble finding at least some of them fairly quickly. Feel free to ask on these boards for advice - my top tip being spend a few quid, it'll be worth it in the long run! You could also try FreeBMD in the meanwhile. Eleanorx
