Hi Maggie, Thanks a lot for the info. I will try that. As I do not have any dates and I am desperate I shall just have to pay to get the information. I think as she worked as a domestic servant she was probably a very young girl either seduced by one of the "upstairs members or below stairs staff". They left school about 14 years of age then so life could be tough. Thanks for your help. Pat

hi the site you need is scotlandspeople it is a pay per view site where you can see actual records for printing. It would help if you had the correct dates it will save you time and money. Maggie

As anyone else noticed that Scotland does not have the same information periods as England's 1837. You cannot get any information for the last 100 years due to the data protection act or some other form of protection. So trying to research a family is an almost impossible task up there. Anyone know of a site for Scotland where you can obtain information re births for 1900 to 1930? Pat
