My family of Bakers are totally missing from 1881 census but reappeared on 1891. Would anyone know if there is a chance they would be on the original 1881 census even though the LDS is supposed to be complete? They were definately not in either England America or Canada in 1881, (though one of them was born in the states 1861), but 2 marriages show up in England in 1883. This is getting so frustrating. Some body i was looking for not long ago called Bates had been transcribet as batts, going from the 1891 census back to the 1881 census lots of names have been mistranslated so your Bakers could be there after all under a bifferent name

There are 3 Bakers and a Baxter all born around 1861 in the US - what first names do you have, and what area are you looking for please. Maz. XX

Maz, Lots of people have tried to find this family for me without luck. My GGrandfather William Baker was born 1861 somewhere in America Usa. Parents Stephen and Emma (in Bristol on 1851 census) must have been back in England by 1864 when William's sister Rosa Emily was born . Marion
