Thanks Crista, Rosemary and Emma, I am actually doing this search for someone in Australia. I gave him some help on a genealogy forum regarding English death certificates and he asked if I would look for his grandfather Edward Connor, born according to his naval papers around 1895 in Lambeth, and father Timothy according to his marriage cert. I can't find much on 1881 census yet but will look again tomorrow. Both Vauxhall and Ratcliffe make sense though. I am completely stuck on my tree at the moment so welcome the opportunity to do some searching of new ground..........otherwise I might have to do some housework!!! Thanks again...............Pam |

I have just found a family I am looking for on the 1891 census in Battersea and they are transcribed variously as being born in Runhall,Rushall and Radcliffe in London. On the original it is very hard to read the entries, but does anyone know if these are or were actual places? The family are Timothy, Mary, Mary A and Edward Connor. If someone would like to have a look and try to decypher the writing I would be very grateful. Many Thanks................Pam |
