hi joan have looked on lds, fbmd, teresa checked vr, not sure where else to look, mum said that he married my grandma in 1926, that does,nt show but it could have been 1927, i did find him in1891 in barracks in london, he was in the 20th hussars but after that nothing, any ideas would be a help marcie x PS. have found marriage to my granmother, now just to his first wife |

I just had a quick look on freebmd........no Davis Astills between 1892 and 1910 but loads of Davids. Where have you looked, and have you any other clues.....anything will help us search! Joan |

hi rosemary his name was david astill or astell Edwards, born 07/01/1874 in easenhall warwick, i assume thats where he met his first wife, as i used to visit one of his sons william in leicester when i was a child, i know he was in the forces from 1891 till at least 1901, he met my grandmother i suspect in london working at the hudson bay company, she gave birth to my mother in 1922 and they married i think in 1926, i have asked teresa on the vr to see if she can find a marriage to i think mary his first wife, but i don,t hold out much hope really i just do not seem to be able find his first marriage nor their divorce,very elusive regards marcie x |

hi granddad david astill/astell edwards was married twice first to mary(mum said this was her name,so not sure really) then mum was born and he married my grandmother 4 years later presumably when the divorce went through, my query is how do i find out when he married his first wife and when they were divorced, any help would be appreciated, thanks marcie x p.s unable to find any info regarding any marriage |
