Hi Daphne! If you saved your tree to a floppy disk, you haven't lost anything beings the information was saved off the old hard drive. Simply insert the floppy into the computer then: 1. Click on START 2. Click on MY COMPUTER 3. Click on 31/2 Floppy (A) - which is your A drive to open the floppy disk. 4. You can than click and drag the file onto your desktop or any where you choose on your computer and the information will now be copied onto your new hard. If you have any questions on how to do, send me an e-mail. Hope that helps! Judy

Oh Daphne, what a shame. Do you mean you have actually lost the floppy or that it corrupted? Ann Glos

Thanks for that, I need a good laugh today. have just found I've lost all my family tree that I'd saved onto a floppy when we were getting a new hard drive, hadn't got around to putting it onto the new drive or making 2 copies!!!! So, it's start all over again time.

This is a what not to do tip - well actualy its a joke, but its monday and we all need brightening up "While I was working for a photo-finishing company, we received a reprint order for an old black-and-white photograph of a man milking a cow. The man was sitting behind the cow, and all that was visible of him were his legs and feet. A note accompanying the order read: "This is the only picture I have of my great-grandfather. Please remove the cow so I can see what he looked like." I know how they feel !
