why can't i find a death

The National Burial Index is a list of burials from the 16thC to 2000. Not all areas are fully covered but I have found it very useful . You can use it at your local records Office or put a thread on the Records Office Board.......probably someone has theCDs at home.

Hello Joan I have checked 1837 around the time that my family think she died but she is not on there. I have never heard of the National Burial Index were is that ?

Which sources have you searched? Have you looked at the National Burial Index as well as 1837online?....Just asking so we can know how to help. Joan

My family say she died around 1960 but i can not any thing on her

I am convinced that my Gt Grandmother is still alive! Born 1847. Definately alive in 1907. No record anywhere of a death! (or a re-marriage), Think she just wants to haunt me. Jill

why can't i find a death the death of my great grandmother Dora Lee in the early sixties
