Can anyone help please i think my mother was born in Brixton 13/05/1911 this is what she told me she never told me her real maiden name although she dropped a few clues to my sister that it could be Day, Grey or Winfrey, she left Brixton for Aberystwyth with her mother who was ill and was looked after by my mum and an aunt Jane until she died, my mum was abandoned by her father who she said was a politician, On her marriage certificate she was called Mary Elizebeth JENKINS, i'm told that abandoned children were given that name in Wales, She was brought up by a family called Jones, i have a photo taken at a council school at Cwmpadarw in Llanbadarn Aberystwyth when she was 10 years old 4 years before her mum died, the question is how can i find out, could there be school records that may have her true name and how to find them help David Beard
