Can anyone help me? I am help a friend trace his tree and am tring to find his grandfathers service records. He was always told the he served in the Household Cav in the early late 1900's early 20's. he died in 1977. Ihave contacted Household cav's museum who have no records of him at all. His name was Alfred Hawkes. Thanks |

Oh yeah, sorry, All we know is that he was born in Oxfordshire and died in Ashby De la Zouch in Leicestershire. He Married in 1928. and I think he was born around 1897 |

Hi, Try looking on the following site. It lists all regiments and wars from 1700's to 1900's, and can also list names, if you are lucky! www(.)regiments(.)org/milhist/index(.)htm Remove brackets when entering. Margaret |
