hi today i received 5xgt grandfather death certificate, hoping that it would give me some indication to where he may have been born, but of course it did,nt, as i think he must have been born c1759, there is nothing on line,so if i go to the local records office and just trawel through their lists, even if i find his name how could i be sure it was him, cannot even find his marriage, which was c1787 brick wall here i come, any advise would be great marcie x ps. thanks jan, its william rowbottom who eventually settled in bushey herts, and yep i have tried ids site he just does,nt want to be found |

Hi Marcie, I take it you've tried familysearch. If it's an unusual surname, you could just put that on the family search site and hope that it comes up with your man. The death cert. will have given you his age at death which will narrow it down a bit. Good luck. Jan from Gravesend, Kent. It's a good idea to put the name your searching when you leave a message. It's surprising how many will have a look on line for you there and then!!!! We're a helpful bunch you know!!!! |
