Vital Record Index is where you can obtain records such as birth, death, marriage and divorce decree information. Here is the US you can obtain this information in the state the event took place. There are also websites that contain this information as well (most for a fee.) Hope that helps.....Judy

There is a CD available from the LDS site containing British births & marriages (BVRI), but it is nothing like complete. I have never found any of my lot in it unfortunately. Marian
