They finally arrived! I applied in June 2003, paid my money in July 2003 and the large brown envelope arrived yesterday. There is much more than I expected. It has been a long 10 months but well worth the wait. Despite expecting only WW2 details, there are photocopies of everything from August 1914 when my father signed on as a young man, through to him volunteering again in 1939.

I applied for my father's WW2 records in July 2003. Paid the £25 and am still waiting. I rang them last week and they have found the file. It arrived in the office 9th Dec! They will send me the details soon..... If I remember, I will let you know when it arrives!

Service Details will only be given to next of kin and you have to prove that you are entitled to receive info. Cost is £25 for brief info and the waiting list is now quite long. Janet Kirwan
