Hi and Happy New Year, OK I have the date when my Ggdad died, 1945, I have the entry from 1837online, I have the area that he died and where the death was registered, Birkenhead. How do I now find out in which churchyard he, and his wife, are buried in? Thanks Ian

Hi there Don't know if this may help or not. There is a website called findachurch. I haven't got the address to hand. Put find a church in google etc., and it should come up. Type in an area and you should get a list of churches for that place come up. hth Diane ps just had a look it's : www.findachurch.(co).(uk) remove brackets Also as it's 1945 could they have been cremated, just a thought.

I would suggest as a first step you contact the Local Authority which covers the area. They should be able to give you a list of all cemetaries and crematoria. It would then be a case of contacting each one and the local churches too. Perhaps if you put Birkenhead in your thread title, someone who lives locally may be able to help. Maz. XX
