Hi Sharron There are 225 Niblow births on the VRI going back to 1601 and all but a handful originate from Scotland.

Hi again Sharron! I just tried NIBLOW again but this time on Google! More impressive results can be obtained if you drop the W and ask for a search on NIBLO. This name could be a Scottish clan name, a derivation on the word/surname NOBLE/NOBILE. Or it could be a Germanic name. Don't quote me, but have a go yourself! Bye for now Eleanorxxx

Hi Sharron, I just typed the name NIBLOW into my Yahoo search engine and it came back with 69 links to the name (in various guises) but most of them seem to hail from America. I don't know what the name means but have a go with your search engine some of those listed could well be part of your tree!!! Good Luck Eleanor:0))

I have come across a surname in my family tree called NIBLOW. I am the only one on this site with the name. Which got me thinking "where do surnames come from"? Did Niblow come from England or is it a name from a different country? I think I need help with this one. Any offers Please???????? Sharron
