i recently found g/grandfather and family on 1901 but they have his name wrong do i tell them or just leave it Just to let you know I have reported the mistake to 1901 |

Hi You can try ..... but other people haven't had much success with getting things amended. My great grandmother's first name and surname are badly wrong .. and they say she's male! Best wishes A |

I think i will leave it as it is if they looked on the transcript they could see the name was isaac but they put on household mace looks nothing like isaac |

Maureen, Someone on this board said their entry did eventually get changed. I'm of the opinion they should be made aware of mistakes so they can improve the process for the 1911 census. I think the quality of the 1891 transcriptions is far superior. Crista |
