I can't find births on ancestry or FreeBMD

I searched on the IGI for the birth of Eliza Goodge and I came up with a birth on 6th November 1854. I found the birth of her brother, Alfred on the IGI as 1st February 1859, and her sister Sarah Ann as 01/02/1861. I checked this on FreeBMD and ancestry and the only record for Eliza Goodge in the same area is December 1852, and Alfred December 1846. Why does FreeBMD and ancestry not list the births of Alfred and Eliza for 1854 and 1859? Thanks in advance Lucia

Lucia, FreeBMD & Ancestry are by no means complete. All records should be on www(.)1837online(.)com which is a copy of birth registrations, but you have to pay to view this of course. Hope that answers your question, Marian

Thanks Marian, i will try the 1837 website. I was looking for a place of birth for Eliza as there wasn't one listed on the IGI. Lucia
