Just found this new site The Ellis Island Website. Found it in Your Family Tree Magazine. It lists all people who emigrated to Ellis Island America on passenger ships and you can search by surname. Hav'nt been brave enough to register and get further information yet, has anyone else out there registered on this site? www(.)ellisisland(.)org Maggie

Greetings! I've registered and was successful locating two branches who emigrated to the US.

There are several web sites for passenger lists prior to Ellis Island records. Try looking on Cyndislist, or enter passenger lists in the search bar Happy New year. Di.

This is a brilliant site. Through this and a bit of digging (and some very helpful advice from people on GC) have found a whole new family in Illinois who we are now in regular contact with. Hoping one 'new' cousin and her husband will come visiting in 2004.
