The person ID and page ID will probably change each time you do a new search. However, consecutive person IDs will indicate people in the same household - so if you search for all males of one surname if you don't know all the names, and all the females you can then group them by person ID and they will all be rearranged in order. Consecutive numbering will indicate members of the same household. Page ID indicates all the people recorded on the same page of the original census. This doesn't automatically include everyone in the same family as some may be recorded at the top of the next page. Hope this helps. Sue

If you do another person search in her area with the same name you can then group them into page or person ID this this should then group her famiy together. If you get too many results you may have to search in age bands. It won't find people in the household with different surnames. Bob

Sue beat me to it. On the the page numbers it varies many "neat" enumerators would start another page rather than flow over but others didn't. As to the numbers changing I looked that up but have forgot the answer I will get back! Bob

It is the page ID that can change, the person ID stays the same, according to census decoder site. Bob
