A Bishop - how can I/she check?

I may have asked this question before - but then I was unable to get back to the boards for a while - and any answers are lost in the mists of time! Wouldn't it be nice to be able to 'search' these boards. However, I am attempting to help a friend of mine research her family - she has it on good authority that a rellie of hers, (gggfather she thinks) was a bishop - a minister anyway - in Southwark, around 1859 ish. His name was William Cook. Can anyone help me/her trace him and his family. She believes that there were children called Cliff, Gordon, Olive and another William, plus at least 2 other girls. Cliff and Gordon, (Olive too), are fairly unusual for those days I would have thought - but I canot find them on either the 1881 or 1891. Help would be much appreciated by us both. Rosi |
