Hi, I'm researching the name Reeson in my family tree, and have looked up my ancestors under the name Reeson and Reason. What other ways may this have been spelt in 1881? i cannot find Thomas and Sarah Reeson, and their children Polly, Margeret and Ada anywhere!! Thanks, Nicola

Also, i'm researching the name Thorpe, and i know the exact date and age of my great grandfather when he died in the first world war, yet i cannot find him or his family on the 1901 census. What else should i try?! I'm at my wits end! Thanks, Nicola

i've just tried searching for george as now i know that Samuel wasn't born in 1881, and i've found this: all born in Notts Thomas Thorpe H - 34 Woodman (dealer) jane W - 36 charles s - 12 ellen D- 11 Elizabeth D-4 george S-2 I wonder if this is them??!! My auntie only knew of 3 sons, but samuel was definitely after 1881, so perhaps Frank was 2 oooh, im excited now!! Nicola

I think this could be them, as Tom was a miner, and they lived in Pleasley. I cant find Ada on the 1901 census, wonder if that could be because it was her middle name?!! Also, she had a daughter called Flo, so maybe she used ada in her later years to differentiate between the 2!! why was polly used for Mary?! Thanks very much, Nicola
